Jenni and I had so much fun throwing a little Galentines Day event at the office yesterday! We told stories, laughed, ate, and put our hearts & hands together to make delicious chocolate covered pretzels. We made some to take home for ourselves and some to deliver to our amazing Police Officers and Fire Fighters right here in St. Mary’s! It was the best day followed by a surprise visit from my handsome honey bringing me the most beautiful bouquet of flowers to enjoy here at work 🥰 forever the luckiest little buckeye!

It always amazes me the way God works in our hearts and the people around us. I’ve always been very independent, organized, and intentional about things so I find it extremely challenging to go through big transitions - especially ones where I lack “control.” This season of my life has a few of those major changes and as amazing as they are, I found myself spiraling in anxiety around them. Yesterday I walked into one of the local companies that I hold their 401k for to do a new hire orientation and I saw the owner. I instantly asked if he had a minute to talk. I shared my discomfort and asked if he would pray to instill peace back into my heart and mind. His response to me was worth more than words could ever express. He said, “Let go and let God. Your emotions are like the market - there are going to be highs and lows but over the long run, you’re going to be okay. You’re going to be great. That’s what you always tell me, right?” It was the most comforting advice and reminder I have ever been given. To work in an environment and with people who truly care about you, and will minister to you, is such an incredible + indescribable experience! My mom calls these “MTM” (moments that matter) and this one is definitely at the top of my gratitude list today.
