Take note: NYS DMV will close all offices at 2pm on February 13, 2026 and will reopen on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 for system upgrades. Plan ahead if you need to make any transactions or renewals.

At 2 PM on Friday, 2/13, all DMV offices will close. Phone and online services will also be unavailable while we upgrade our systems. Offices will reopen and online services will resume on Wednesday, 2/18. We apologize for the inconvenience.

The New York State Police have developed the Autism Awareness Visor Card program in effort to assist in communication and reduce confusion and fear during police interactions. Each patrol vehicle will be equipped with a card to use as needed.
