Michael Mellon, American Community Bank President and CEO, has received the Sagamore of the Wabash Award from the Governor of the state of Indiana, Mike Braun. It is a tremendous honor and well deserved.

Gov. Mike Braun personally presented the prestigious award to Michael Mellon at Gamba Ristorante in Merillville for the bank president's many years of service to the state.

The American Community Bank Hammond branch has now re-opened! Repairs will be ongoing, but the branch is now open for business and ready to serve you during all normal business hours. We thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.

The American Community Bank Hammond Branch and ATM are temporarily closed due to damage from an auto accident. In the meantime, Hammond customers can utilize our Munster location at 8230 Hohman Avenue, Munster, IN 46321. Their phone number is (219) 836-5870. Munster is just 4-5 miles south on Hohman just before Ridge Road. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and understanding. We will provide updates as they become available.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the American Community Bank Food Drive in January. Through the generosity of our customers and employees, we were able to donate over 400 pounds of food to the Food Bank of NWI! Thank you to everyone!

The bank's Food Drive to benefit the Food Bank of NWI continues through the end of January. (Banks helping banks! 😀) Things are off to a good start, but we'd like to overwhelm our local Food Bank with supplies to assist our neighbors in need.
