September is Life Insurance Awareness Month.
Now I know most people just blow this off. But let me share a few quick thoughts as to why you might want to look and think a little deeper first. I’ve been an insurance agent since 1992 so I have lots of stories to share, but let me be very personal here:
My younger brother lost his wife from myocardial fibrosis – she was 36. They still had children to raise.
I lost my wife to brain cancer – she was 45. A year later we lost her mother to breast cancer – she was 73.
Two years ago I got remarried. 3 months into our marriage we found out that one of our sons has stage 4 lung cancer. He was 21. We are still very hopeful as he is now almost 23.
No one knows what challenges life will bring, but life insurance, if done properly, will always pay out. Money won’t replace the person, but it can make a huge difference. Reach out if you’d like to know more.
