This closing has stayed on my heart all week. ❤️🏡

This past Tuesday, I had the privilege of watching Mr. and Mrs. Williams become first-time homeowners...in their 60s.

Think about that for a moment.

For years, they probably wondered if homeownership would ever happen for them. Like so many people, they could have convinced themselves they had waited too long. But they didn't give up.

Instead, they stayed the course.

The smiles on their faces at the closing table reminded me why I love what I do. It wasn't just about getting the keys to a house—it was about achieving a dream they refused to let go of.

🏡 Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Williams on their upcoming home closing on June 22, 2026! 🎉

I have to admit... this one challenged me.

When we first started this journey, our goal was to qualify for a grant program that would help with closing costs. We worked hard to pay down debt and improve credit scores to meet the program requirements. Despite our efforts, we weren't able to reach the score needed for the grant.

But here's the lesson: sometimes the first plan isn't the final plan.

Instead of giving up, we explored other options and were able to take advantage of a lender credit program that provided funds toward their closing costs—an amount that came very close to what they would have received through the grant program.

The result? They're still getting the keys to their new home. 🔑

What makes this story even more special is that Mr. and Mrs. Williams are a wonderful couple in their 60s purchasing their very first home. That is a reminder that it's never too late to pursue your dreams, build wealth, and create a legacy for your family.

Homeownership doesn't always happen on the timeline we imagine, but when persistence meets the right strategy, amazing things can happen.
