Last week my team and I helped a couple in their mid seventies make the switch from a variable annuity, which had high fees and was open to market loss, to a great fixed annuity offering some serious incentives. Our carrier partner provided a bonus in addition to the guaranteed growth interest rate and zero-net floor provided by fixed annuities. Senior Staff writer of Forbes magazine, Robin Rothstein has been watching the housing market closely. This month Redfin reported nearly 15% of U.S. home purchase agreements fell through in June, up 1% from a year ago and the highest June figure since tracking began in 2017.

Her over-all article suggests as Nicolas Godec puts it, “The era of broad-based, rapid price appreciation appears over, replaced by a more selective environment where local fundamentals matter more than national trends.”
