Nobody plans on filing a claim. But when you need to, you shouldn't have to guess what happens next.

The fastest way to get the ball rolling is through our Client Portal, where you can report a claim directly to your carrier, 24/7, no waiting for office hours.

While you're at it, a few things worth remembering after a loss: take reasonable steps to prevent further damage, document the damage with photos or videos when it's safe to do so, and hang onto receipts for any emergency repairs or expenses.

Deer season is ramping up in Vermont, and collisions spike this time of year. Here's what to do if it happens to you:

Don't swerve, brake firmly and stay in your lane. Swerving causes more serious crashes than the deer itself.

Pull over, turn on hazards, and check for injuries before checking the car.

Call the police to file a report, even for minor damage. You'll need it for your claim.

Don't approach the deer.

Call us or your carrier before doing anything else. Deer strikes fall under comprehensive coverage, not collision, so it's worth knowing what your policy actually covers before you need it.
