Ahhh to be in the 2s again, huh? I remember when my primary job was as a Loan Officer and people "wanted to wait" cuz they had a feeling that rates would go down even lower than 2.75. My guess is that 99.9% of people (there's always that ONE guy or gal, right?) would jump at a rate like that now! Sooo, I have a refinance client who is in a position where she has to refinance due to divorce. She asked for cash out (if you don't know, that will cause your rate to be at least a half point higher), which means payment goes up when you are asking for $75K for home improvements, on top of your current loan amount. She is looking for a payment around $5K (not sure where that figure comes from but we all have our budgets, right?). In order to get the payment she has in her mind, her rate would have to be in the low 5s. This is the life of a Loan Officer, which I still do besides the work at the jewelry store. If you are in need of loan advice, feel free to call. Let the Lord lead you in all you do! If it's time to buy a home, make sure to pray on it. If that is where the Lord is leading you, who can stop it??
