September is Deaf Awareness Month, a time to honor Deaf culture, language, and the vibrant global Deaf community. 🤟

International Week of the Deaf, established by the World Federation of the Deaf in 1958, serves as a call to mobilize and take action. This year's theme is "Declaring Deaf People's Human Rights."

More than 3 million Californians of all ages, backgrounds, and ethnicities identify as Deaf or hard of hearing. This month, we recognize them – and recommit to the work still ahead in ensuring their human rights are fully realized and protected.

Maria Sandoval had a fantastic time this Saturday in Salinas at the Guardians of Stars Conference (Conferencia Guardianes de las Estrellas)! It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with families and be part of conversations around important topics affecting our community.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by the CalABLE table to learn more and connect with us! 💙

CalABLE makes it easy to get gifts without effecting benefits! Share the link to your gifting page and others can go to it and contribute without having access to your account.

Once you've reached $20,000 for the year, the gifting page stays visible but doesn't accept more money- eliminating any worries about going over the limit.

You get to manage how much money people can contribute and how that money is saved or invested. Learn more at calable.ca.gov!
