Real talk building something from scratch while working a full time job, managing a schedule that would make most people quit, and doing it mostly alone is not for the faint of heart.

Some days I don't feel like it. Some days I wonder if it's worth it. Then I remember why I started. And I keep going. If you're in a season like this right now I see you.

I was told I would never be promoted. More than once. By more than one company. By more than one person. There are people who think of me last. They criticized how I wore my hair. How I led my team. They looked past me like I wasn't even there. I am good enough to DO for them without thought. I didn't forget that. I'm not supposed to. I'm building my own table.

And when I get there I'm pulling chairs up for everyone who was told the same thing. That's why I show up every single day even when it's hard. Even when I'm tired. Even when it feels like I'm going nowhere fast.
