Things have changed some with how bail is handled over the last few years. We want to reassure all of our loyal clients, friends and future clients we are still here to serve our customers the same quality service we have for over 35 years! No we won’t get you out for 2 or 3% (for many reasons but mostly because it’s just not smart business) but we also will not revoke your bond for a bogus reason. The Town of Forest City has partnered with the Foothills Regional Commission to create a comprehensive long-range planning document that the town will use to plan for the future. If you are a resident, property owner, or business owner of Forest City, the town encourages you to participate in this 10-minute survey to ensure your wishes and concerns are addressed in the Land Use Plan. The survey addresses future development, the downtown appearance, transportation, and parks and recreation. The survey will close on July 31, 2023. I am totally against throwing trash at the gates. But the sites need to be open a lot more hours. They could be open on holidays too.

***Update***

On Saturday, 10/01/2022, Sgt. Ben King and Deputy Dylan Chapman, conducted a traffic stop in the Ellenboro Community and were able to take Thomas Paul Reid into custody. During the course of the stop, Thomas Reid was found to be in possession of Methamphetamine. He was arrested and given a $7,500 secured bond for his charges out of Rutherford County.

In addition to the above charges, warrants were issued on Thomas Reid by the Cleveland County Sheriff's Office for the following charges:

B&E to a Motor Vehicle (X6)
Financial Card Theft (X2)
Larceny of a Firearm
Possession of Firearm by Felon
Possess Stolen Firearm
Misdemeanor Larceny (X3)

Wanted Subject

The Rutherford County Sheriff's Office is seeking information on the whereabouts of Thomas Paul Reid, a 39 year old white male from Forest City. Mr. Reid is wanted on the following:

Failure to appear on a misdemeanor (X2)
Failure to appear on child support

Detention Center Receives Body Scanner

On Wednesday August 31, 2022 the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office Detention Center received a body scanner. The process of purchasing the, nearly $200,000, body scanner began back in January. The body scanner will be vital in locating items that a person has hidden in their body, by ingesting it or storing it in a body cavity, in an attempt to distribute it in the jail to other inmates.
