First & Peoples Bank and Trust Company First & Peoples Bank and Trust is a community bank located in Greenup County, Kentucky. As technology increased, so did the Bank's services.

In 1932, a merger of the First National Bank of Russell and the Peoples Bank of Russell formed First & Peoples Bank. Starting with only seven employees and assets of $626,339.41, this new bank provided the citizens of Russell with a full service bank that could offer the financial services needed to benefit our community. Along with the growth of Russell as well as Greenup County, First & Peoples

Bank also began to grow. As demands for services spread, new locations were added to make it convenient for our customers to have access to their bank, in their neighborhood. Drive-thru facilities and Automated Teller Machines were just a few of the services that the Bank provided to the area to fulfill our full service commitment. In 1989, the Bank took another step in full service by becoming First & Peoples Bank and Trust Company. Our Trust Department opened in 1990 to provide our customers with a full range of trust products and services. Over the years, we've continued to add new products and services and taken advantage of up-to-date banking technology, all while providing the hometown service you would expect from a true community bank. We are proud to have been your locally owned, hometown bank since 1932. We are proud to have played a part in the tremendous growth of our community. Spot a scam? Tell the BBB about it. Help the Better Business Bureau investigate scams and warn others. Report a scam or fraud, or browse and view scams reported by others.

This week brings an article from the FTC about Avoiding and Reporting Gift Card Scams. This will cover how gift card scams work and what to do if you give a gift card to a scammer.
