Are your Wind/Hail deductibles too high?

Indiana spring storms are officially here. But before the next round of hail and wind hits, there’s a number you need to check on your policy: your Wind/Hail Deductible.

Many homeowners don't realize their deductible for storm damage is often a percentage of their home’s value, not a flat dollar amount. On a $400k home, a 2% deductible means you’re on the hook for $8,000 before insurance pays a dime.

While many companies are moving to a "percentage deductible" all of my companies still allow for a flat rate deductible or a 1% Wind / Hail deductible.

📅 League Starts: November 4th
🕒 Game Days: Tuesdays or Wednesdays (depending on age group)
