Mid-year is an excellent time to revisit your financial plan—

Here are a few life events that may signal it's time for a review:

🔵 Career Changes or Income Growth
A promotion, career transition, or new employment opportunity can affect retirement contributions, employee benefits, tax planning, and long-term financial goals.

🔵 Marriage or a New Partnership
Combining finances often brings new opportunities and responsibilities, from coordinating retirement savings and investment strategies to managing debt and cash flow together.

🔵 Divorce or Separation
Changes in household income, living arrangements, and asset ownership may require adjustments to your investment strategy, savings goals, and retirement timeline.

🔵 Welcoming a Child Through Birth or Adoption
Growing your family introduces new financial priorities, including education planning, insurance needs, and long-term savings considerations.

🔵 Receiving an Inheritance or Financial Windfall
A sudden increase in assets can create meaningful opportunities when thoughtfully integrated into your broader financial plan.

🔵 Purchasing a Home or Relocating
Major housing decisions can impact cash flow, liquidity, debt levels, and long-term financial objectives.

Your financial plan should reflect where you are today—not where you were a year ago. Taking time to review your strategy after a major life event can help ensure your goals, investments, and overall plan remain aligned.

If you've experienced a significant change recently and would like to discuss how it may affect your financial future, give us a call!

This Father's Day, we celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, and father figures who have helped shape our lives through their guidance, hard work, and unwavering dedication.

The values they instill—integrity, responsibility, perseverance, and generosity—often become the foundation for future generations.

To all the dads who lead by example, support their families, and make countless sacrifices behind the scenes, thank you. Your impact extends far beyond today and leaves a lasting legacy for years to come.

From all of us at Bernard Wealth Management, we wish you a very Happy Father's Day filled with family, gratitude, and meaningful moments.

Since the U.S. Mint halted new penny production in late 2025, many business owners and consumers have been evaluating what this change means for day-to-day transactions. As the supply of pennies gradually declines, the shift toward rounding cash payments to the nearest nickel is expected to become standard practice. Swipe to learn more.

As payment practices continue to evolve, staying informed matters. If you have questions about how this shift may affect your budgeting, tax reporting, or business operations, contact us for guidance.

Every June 14th, we celebrate the Stars and Stripes on Flag Day. While we’re all familiar with the United States’ flag, we might not know all of the history behind this symbol.

To celebrate, we wanted to share a few fun facts about the history of the flag that might surprise you:

🔹 The current 50-star design was created by a 17-year-old. Robert G. Heft of Lancaster, Ohio, submitted the design as a high school project in 1958. It was chosen by President Eisenhower out of more than 3,000 submissions in 1960.

🔹 There have been 27 official versions of the flag. Twenty-five of those changes were solely to update the number of stars every time a new state joined the Union. The star additions were admitted on July 4th, and, together, they give us a rich visual history of the country's growth over time.

🔹 The colors for the flag have taken on their own meanings over the years. Charles Thomson, secretary of the Continental Congress in 1774, suggested that red represents hardiness and valor, white symbolizes purity and innocence, and blue stands for vigilance, perseverance, and justice.

🔹 Six American flags have been planted on the moon. Neil Armstrong and Edwin E. “Buzz” Aldrin were the first, but five additional Apollo missions have also left a flag on the lunar surface.

🔹 The current design is the longest-running version in history. No new states have been added since Hawaii joined the union in 1959, making this the most enduring flag design the country has ever had.

Wishing you a wonderful Flag Day filled with pride and appreciation for the history behind the flag we share.

As June marks the midpoint of the year, it can be a natural time to reflect on the first half of the year and the goals you set.

Whether you’re continuing to move toward a current goal or setting a new one, the confidence to get started does not always come before the first step. Sometimes it grows with each one.

As we settle into this month, what is one dream or goal you are ready to pursue with a little more boldness in the second half of the year? Share it in the comments. We would love to hear what you are working toward.
