September is Life Insurance Awareness Month(LIAM).

Life is a precious gift that we should thank God for daily.
Life insurance protection can be more than just a survivor's benefit if you purchase your protection from one of the companies that bundles living benefits into the life insurance policy.
Living benefits include access to a portion or all of your policy's face amount in the event of a terminal illness diagnosis, a portion of your face amount in the event of a chronic illness(inability to perform two or more activities of daily living), a critical illness(heart attack, stroke, major organ transplant) and even a critical injury(brain trauma, severe burns, coma or paralysis).
Certainly, if any of these invaluable benefits are received by the policy owner, that individual would be able to focus on wellness.

May is the insurance industry's Disability Income Awareness Month(lifehappens.org). This is also known as paycheck protection.
When was the last time you reviewed your disability policy?
Do you have a disability income policy? If not you're probably in denial that you will ever need it.
Where will the money come from to pay for your:M(mortgage or rent)Utilities and your Groceries?
You insure your auto, home, life so why wouldn't you insure your paycheck?
Even if you have disability income protection through your employer, you are eligible for additional protection as long as you don't exceed the maximum amount allowed based on your income.
Finally, if you are eligible for social security disability it will be based on you not being able to do any work that the national economy offers.
So, it is usually difficult to be approved. In fact, according to the social security administration, around 65% of applicants are denied benefits initially and the benefit amount only averaged around $1,258 monthly which is barely above the poverty line.
I hope this is a wake-up call for those of you who have been procrastinating the purchase of a "paycheck protection" policy.
I'll give you another good reason to purchase this invaluable protection and that is some companies offer a return of premium rider and if you accept it and you are claimless you will receive all of your premium contributions back at 67 or if you filed a claim you'll receive the balance of the amount that you were paid.

I want to encourage everyone who views my post to be mindful of their loved ones and make sure they have adequate life insurance protection.

February is the life industry's" Insure Your Love" Month which is certainly appropriate when you consider the fact that we celebrate Valentine's Day on February 14.

I am going to call it" Protect Your Love"month because that's what life insurance protection does.

It solves the problem of the survivor(s) not having to request a "go fund me page"for funeral and final expenses.It solves the problem of not having the money to pay the mortgage off if the breadwinner passes away prematurely.
.
It solves the problem of where will the money come from to keep your sons or daughters in college if the bread winner passes away prematurely.

It leaves that financial legacy so that the survivors can cherish your memory and say that yor are "gone but not forgotten".

It provides the money needed to replace that "key man"in a business if he passes away prematurely.

When was the last time you had an insurance "check up or review"?

As we celebrate another year of life,now is the time to think about those you love and those who love you and to make sure they are taken care of financially when you are no longer here to take care of them.
So, now is the time to review you insurance needs to see if you are adequately protected.
Perhaps you are only protected by your company's group life policy or you've been relying on the policy that your parents still own on your life because they don't know if you have your own protection.
The cost of waiting to buy life insurance protection is a costly mistake. Your premium is based on your age, health status and smoking habits,your occupation,etc.
This is my 27th year as an Independent Agent/Adviser and I am honored to be able to have served in this profession during this length of time.
During the first part of 2017 one of my policyholder's received the proceeds of an insurance policy upon the death of her husband who passed away prematurely at 61 years of age.His death was untimely;however,she was able to take care of some
additional needs after his departure.
