Own an Airbnb or Vrbo in Austin? The platform rules took effect July 1 - license numbers required in listings, 10-day delist notices, no booking fees for unlicensed rentals.

Enforcement is phased, not instant. But the city's scanning software has already flagged about 2,785 unlicensed addresses, and fines run $500 per offense with each day counting separately.
