I get several referrals each week from Farmers Insurance to follow up on quotes the prospect called in and attempted to do themselves. If you expect to get a competitive quote you need to have your policies at your fingertips. Do not try to recall your coverages from memory. It can't be done! In addition there is other information needed to get the quote. The type information you need is each driver's date of birth and drivers license number and the vehicle identification number. To get the best quote your social security number may be requested. Believe me agents don't like to ask for it anymore than you like to give it out. By the way your current agent has all your information. Depending on how the questions are answered there may be more information needed. Keep in mind the insurance you had in your teens and twenties is not going to be sufficient as you get older. People's lives change over time and their needs are different. Insurance can get technical. Your best idea is to contact a licensed professional insurance agent and discuss your situation. The agent should be able to able to help you with your particular situation. Think of us as your medical doctor for your insurance. You may not like what you hear but in the end you'll be glad you did. Should you have any questions please don't hesitate to give me a call.
