Good video on the CA Fair Plan and how they will handle major wildfire losses. Ultimately, to have a healthy market in CA, our elected representatives need to work hard on behalf of Californians and reform the current protocols in these new times.

The California Dept. of Insurance is allowing the FAIR Plan to charge insurance companies - who can charge customers - to recoup costs after certain major wildfires.

The Governor made some comments that imply he will be getting more involved in the state’s Insurance crisis in the hopes of ending it as soon as possible… he is clearly frustrated by how long it is taking the Insurance Commissioner’s office to effect change. At one point Newsom said that he understands how hard they are working to implement changes but “December? We don’t have that much time” in response to Insurance Commissioner Lara’s December sustainability plan.
