Tell him it took 15,000 Irishmen to build the Titanic and 1 Englishman to sink her.
The ship should have coasted straight into the iceberg. She wouldn't have sank. The ship was built to sustain only 4 flooded compartments, not 5. The iceberg hit the 5th one and down she went.
The Titanic was built in Ireland and then tugged to Liverpool and set sail at 24 nautical miles per hour in complete darkness. The 1st mate was a fool. Nautical miles are pretty equivalent to mph. I went to Cal Maritime. 1 nautical is 1.15 mph
