So I just had a nice visit from 5 young men (going into 6th grade) who stopped by to cool off from the summer sun. They had been out riding bikes all day, and just needed a place to beat the heat for a few.

We talked about vacations, fishing and Table Rock Lake. So, like any good person, I made sure they had water to drink, all the candy they could eat, and let them take all the freebies they could carry on their bikes.

So Rose Hill parents- if it was your boys that stopped by, please let them know that I really enjoyed our visit today and told them that when they are riding around and I am at the office that they are always welcome here! ☀️

Prayers go out to all affected by the tornado 🌪 in and around Andover this past Friday evening 🙏🏼. Some had little damage while some lost everything. Thank you to all emergency service people that responded and everyone else that are and have been able to help those in need. One of the best things about Kansas and the Midwest is the generosity and kindness to help our neighbors whether we know them or not. 💜

This, right here is why I braved I70 Thursday morning ( the roads were absolutely terrible) from KC-taking the better part of 7+ hours to make it St. Charles,Mo. To watch my youngest swim at State Swimming finals (as a freshman)! I am so incredibly proud of you Lana! 💜🏊🏻‍♀️💪🏼
