Welcome to the team!
We're thrilled to have Kara Murphy join us as our new Office Operations Manager.
A native of Ringgold, GA, Kara moved to Rome, GA after she met her husband in 2011. For 20 years, Kara worked in the Hospitality industry, concentrating on team training and managerial roles. In 2026, Kara decided to make a career change and had the opportunity to begin working at Matt Medley State Farm. As the Office Operation Manager, she wears many hats, helping the office run smoothly and facilitating team needs. Licensed in Auto, Home, Life and Health, Kara’s favorite part of the job is meeting customers and helping them with important life decisions. When not at the office, you will probably see her performing downtown as a local musician, crafting everything from candles to painting landscapes, or loving on Bentley, her 17-year-old Chihuahua.

Team Member Spotlight: Rachel Reiff!
Originally from Duluth, GA, Rachel moved to Rome, GA to attend Berry College. She graduated in 2016 with a dual degree in Communications and Spanish and worked in the film industry for many years. After having her kids, Rachel decided to make a big career change and had the wonderful opportunity to join the Matt Medley State Farm Agency in January of 2024. Licensed in Auto, Home, Life, and Health insurance, she works mostly in new customer acquisition and marketing. In her free time, you will find her trying a new recipe, listening to audiobooks or spending time with her family.

Team Member Spotlight: Rett Edwards!
A native of Rome, GA, Rett left briefly to attend the University of Tennessee at Martin, where he played baseball and majored in business. After graduating in May of 2025, he had the great opportunity to begin working for Matt Medley State Farm. Rett loves that he gets to talk to so many people on the job, helping them with their auto and home insurance needs, and he prides himself on treating others the way he would want to be treated. When not at work, you can find Rett somewhere outdoors, either hunting, fishing, or golfing.

Born and raised in Calhoun, GA, Odalis started her insurance journey in October of 2023.
