RT Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit, member-owned financial institution whose charter was granted through the National Credit Union Administration in the name of Rome Teachers Federal Credit Union. We were founded in 1958 by seven employees of the Rome Consolidated School District to serve its employees and their immediate family memb
ers. In 2023 (our 65th year), we then changed our name from Rome Teachers Federal Credit Union to RT Federal Credit Union in our desire to reflect our new inclusive charter while also keeping our foundation always present. Our community charter allows us to serve all who have a bond with our existing local school communities and adding additional districts bringing us to thirty-six school districts. With our expanded charter, we now serve the following school districts:
