The League hosted Rep Clay Fuller (GA-14) while lawmakers are back in their districts for August recess, bringing together local credit union leaders to discuss the issues impacting their members and communities.

Representatives from Coosa Valley Credit Union, Rome Kraft Employees Credit Union, Peach State Federal Credit Union, Georgia United Credit Union, and LGE Community Credit Union shared what they’re hearing from members about today’s economy, consumer challenges, emerging credit union issues, regulatory reform, and the growing impact of fraud.

We are deeply saddened to share the passing of one of our Board Members, Stephen Payton.

Steve retired from International Paper as a millwright and faithfully served on the Board of Directors of Rome Kraft Employees Credit Union. He was more than a board member, he was a valued leader, a trusted voice, and a true friend to many. His dedication to our members and our credit union left a lasting impact that will not be forgotten.

We are incredibly grateful for the time, heart, and leadership he gave. It was truly an honor to serve alongside him.

Thank you for your service and the legacy you leave behind. You will be deeply missed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones.
