Our Blairsville team was honored to provide and serve breakfast to 500 teachers, administrators, staff members, bus drivers and other employees from across the Union County School System during their annual back-to-school kickoff meeting! We also added a little extra fun by awarding a Back-to-School Survival Kit to one lucky employee.

Our annual Shoe Drive and two-day Shoe Giveaway were an incredible success! 👟💙

Thanks to the generosity of our customers, local businesses and community members, 390 Union County students received a brand-new pair of athletic shoes to start the school year.

To everyone who donated shoes, made a monetary contribution, helped spread the word or supported this effort in any way— THANK YOU! Your generosity made it possible for hundreds of local students to walk into a new school year with a little more confidence.

River City Bank mourns the passing of C. King Askew, our founding Chairman of the Board and a cherished member of the RCB family.

From the bank’s formation in 2006 until his retirement in 2024, Mr. Askew provided the vision, wisdom and steadfast leadership that helped shape River City Bank. Even after his retirement, he remained a trusted advisor, loyal supporter and dear friend to our bank and team.

We are grateful for his leadership, friendship and lasting legacy. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered as an important part of River City Bank’s story.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
