This month, the Gallagher Bassett South Australia team helped pack over 1,350 reading packs for the Read to Me program, supporting children in out-of-home care. These packs are already helping build home libraries and foster a love of reading.

We’re excited to join the next packing day in May and continue making a difference. Thank you to Janet and the team at Raising Literacy Australia for this wonderful opportunity!

Raising Literacy Australia's Read to Me project has been making a difference since 2015, providing resources and books to children aged 0–6 in out-of-home care, and over 200,000 books and resources have been delivered to date. In 2025, Gallagher Bassett helped pack and distribute over 20,000 books across South Australia and contributed more than $13,000 in volunteer time.

We’re inspired by the feedback from foster and kinship carers who’ve shared the positive impact these packs have had on the children in their care. It’s a privilege to play a small part in this important mission. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Raising Literacy Australia throughout 2026.

Gallagher Bassett was proud to take part in the Adelaide Procare Group Charity Cricket Challenge alongside industry colleagues in support of the Women's & Children's Hospital Foundation. It was a great day of friendly competition and connection across the industry. With more than $1M raised to date, it was inspiring to contribute to such meaningful impact.

Last week, Gallagher Bassett joined forces with our valued client DHL Supply Chain and their supplier partner, DWF, for a memorable tree planting day at Hideaway Wood Farm. Thanks to the initiative’s success, we’re proud to partner with Treeapp to plant a number of trees across the UK, offsetting carbon emissions and contributing to biodiversity, local jobs, and community development.

This initiative, which ties fraud prevention savings to real-world sustainability efforts, will continue until 2029. Together, we’re proving that innovative business practices and environmental stewardship can go hand in hand.

Gallagher Bassett had a rewarding day volunteering at Foodbank NSW & ACT alongside colleagues from icare NSW. Together, we packed 900 Christmas Hampers, which included 11,700kg of food — enough to provide around 21,000 meals for families and individuals during the holiday season.

Every box packed, item sorted and kilo lifted helps put food on the table for someone in need. We’re proud to support Foodbank’s mission to end hunger and are grateful for the opportunity to make a real difference in our community.

Together with our industry partners, we raised $165,000 at the annual gala and completed 26 service projects, which would have taken the Village staff three months to achieve. Our South Australia team recently raised over $12,525 for Cancer Council SA through the GB Cancer Council Quiz Night. Inspired by one of our committee members who bravely overcame breast cancer in 2023, the team exceeded their $10,000 fundraising goal.

The event was made possible by the tireless efforts of our Corporate Social Responsibility Committee, who engaged over 500 local businesses for donations used in raffles, auctions, and games. Every dollar raised will help Cancer Council SA provide critical services, including counselling, accommodation, and research to support those impacted by cancer.

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to this incredible initiative. Together, we’re making a difference!
