For the 2026 Seniors of NEWBURG HIGH SCHOOL and ROLLA HIGH SCHOOL: The Shelter Insurance Foundation will award a $1,500 scholarship to one graduate of each of these schools this year! I am pleased to sponsor this scholarship. A committee of local high school officials and community leaders will select the recipient. Applications and additional information are currently available through your guidance counselor. The deadline for applications is March 31

I had a great morning speaking to our community’s soon-to-be first-time drivers! Of course we talked about the basics: What is insurance? Why do we need it? What do I do if I’m in an accident? We also spoke about ways these students could contribute to decreased cost of insurance by doing well in school and qualifying for the “good student discount!”
They were great listeners and made my job easy by asking a lot of terrific questions:
“If my dad gave me his truck, would the insurance go up?”
“If I make updates to my car, would it change my cost of insurance/coverage?”
“If I go away to college, will my insurance go up?”
Of course, I told them the best thing that they can do to get the best rate on insurance is to go for the GOOD STUDENT DISCOUNT and practice safe driving principles…Your Welcome, Parents.
