We’re currently aware of a widespread service outage impacting Northwest Arkansas.

Many carriers in the area rely on a shared trunk line owned by AT&T, which is experiencing a major issue. Technicians from multiple providers are on-site working to resolve it, but there is no estimated time for repair at this moment.

Severe weather is expected in our area. Here are important steps you can take to protect your home and family:

• Let faucets drip to help prevent frozen or burst pipes
• Open cabinet doors under sinks to allow warm air to circulate
• Keep your thermostat set consistently (avoid turning heat off)
• Bring pets indoors and limit outdoor exposure
• Charge phones and devices in case of power outages
• Have flashlights, blankets, and extra batteries readily available

Taking a few simple precautions now can help reduce the risk of damage and keep everyone safe.
