As I look at this amazing mural in downtown Rogers City, I’m reminded of how fortunate my family has been to call this community home.
To me, this mural captures so much of what makes growing up in Rogers City special. It’s the small town experiences that shape a childhood…summer ball games, days spent on the lake, exploring the outdoors, riding bikes through town, and knowing your neighbors by name.
My children were lucky enough to grow up here, surrounded by a community that supports one another, celebrates each other’s successes, and builds friendships that last a lifetime. In a world that seems to move faster every day, Rogers City remains a place where people still look out for one another and where memories are made that stay with you forever.
I was honored when our building was selected to receive one of the original Murals on Main projects, and it’s been incredible to watch this program continue to grow and add even more beauty and character to our downtown.
