Did you know….a new avenue for determining home insurance premiums for most of your preferred insurance carriers is aerial imagery. They look at the property from above and are looking for insurance risks on it. The lower the risk, the better the premium. This is just one of the many factors used to determine pricing.

What?! We didn’t realize….

There is only one city named Rockwall in the United States, located in the state of Texas. It serves as the county seat of Rockwall County and is situated approximately 22 miles east of downtown Dallas. The city derives its name from a naturally occurring underground rock formation that resembles a wall, discovered by early settlers in the 1850s.  

No other city or town in the U.S. shares the name Rockwall. Thanks Chat GPT!

**Rockwall Police Issue Warning Over Minors Operating Motorized Vehicles**

ROCKWALL, Texas — The Rockwall Police Department is urging parents to take action following growing safety concerns involving minors operating motorized vehicles such as golf carts, ATVs, and mini bikes within city limits.

According to authorities, several complaints have been made about pr***en and teenage children driving these vehicles in ways that endanger themselves and others. Officers remind the public that under Texas law, the operation of golf carts and similar vehicles is subject to strict rules and regulations.

City ordinances also prohibit the use of any motorized vehicle — including golf carts, ATVs, UTVs, and mini bikes — in public parks. Furthermore, it is illegal for unlicensed minors to drive golf carts on public roadways.

“Allowing your child to operate a golf cart without a driver’s license is not only against the law, but it also puts them at significant risk,” the department stated. “These young drivers often lack the training, judgment, and experience needed to navigate traffic safely.”

Police noted that violations could result in fines and potential legal liability for parents. The department is encouraging families to speak with their children and ensure that motorized vehicles are used in accordance with state laws and local ordinances.

Authorities hope to reduce the likelihood of serious accidents through increased awareness and community cooperation.
