Big news for Veterans using their VA loan benefit! 🏡🇺🇸

Effective with appraisal orders on or after May 1, 2026, the VA has made some significant updates that make the homebuying process smoother and less burdensome:

✅ Outbuildings like barns, sheds, and detached garages no longer need to meet safe, sound, and sanitary standards. They can now be valued as-is.
✅ Non-vented fireplace requirements are gone. No more certifications or independent inspections.
✅ New Construction Radon Certification is now obsolete.
✅ Paint conditions on post-1978 homes are now considered cosmetic. No more scrape and paint repair requirements.

These changes are a win for Veterans and sellers alike. Fewer hoops, faster closings, and more flexibility.
