Last weekend, I escaped the heat and drove north to the “motherland” (RBC/Canada/Quebec)🍁 to find cooler weather to do my last 90-miler back-to-backs. The first day was gorgeous weather and, well, it poured most of the second!

Back-to-back training has officially started for my ODS/autism ride for Open Door Sports on August 11th!! RBC-DC to RBC-Montreal: 800miles in 8 days ……hopefully!

Nothing like heading out at 4am and having your glasses fog up with 75 degree heat and 96% humidity! 🤣 What a weekend : 75 miles on slow muddy C&O trail up to Sheperdstown, overnighted at the Bavarian Inn (lovely) and then rode the same nasty trail back at 5am Sunday morning! Storms on Friday night must have downed over a dozen trees on the muddy slow trail.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, driving north to the “motherland” (RBC/Canada/Quebec)🍁 to, hopefully, find cooler weather to do my 85/90-miler back-to-backs.
