Dear Texas FBINAA Members and Colleagues,

When One Door Closes, Louisiana Opens One.
On behalf of the Louisiana Chapter of the FBI National Academy Associates, I want to personally invite
you to join us June 7–10, 2026, in Lake Charles for our Annual Training Conference.
We would be honored to welcome our Texas colleagues just across the border for a conference
experience built on the same principles we all value: leadership, professionalism, wellness, and
camaraderie. Our event is geared towards not only graduates of the FBINA, but to potential future
attendees, giving them a window into what the association has in store for them.
Our conference at L’Auberge Casino Resort in Lake Charles offers:
• High-quality leadership and risk management training
• Officer wellness and resilience sessions
• The Mandalay Bay Response presentation
• TCOLE credit availability
• Vendor engagement and networking
• Evening hospitality and fellowship
• Family-friendly guest programming
Lake Charles is a convenient drive for most Texas agencies, eliminating the need for airfare while still
delivering a full professional development experience.
Our goal is simple: ensure that Texas NA members do not miss an opportunity for training and fellowship
in 2026.
If your agency had planned to attend the Texas conference, we welcome your team. We are happy to
assist with group registrations, purchase orders, or agency billing to make participation as seamless as
possible.
This organization is strongest when we stand together across state lines. We hope you will allow us the This organization is strongest when we stand together across state lines. We hope you will allow us the privilege of hosting you this June.

Fraternally,
Chip Wale

Subject: Important Update: 2026 FBINAA Texas Chapter Annual Training Conference

Dear Members, Colleagues, and Partners,

After careful deliberation, the FBINAA Texas Chapter Executive Board has made the difficult decision to cancel the 71st Annual Training Conference scheduled for April 14-17, 2026, in El Paso, Texas.

This decision was reached following a comprehensive review of factors impacting this year's conference cycle, including the atypical scheduling timeline due to the National Conference being held in June, competing demands on member travel, broader membership engagement trends, current registration levels, vendor participation projections, and the financial exposure associated with contractual commitments relative to anticipated participation. The Board also considered its responsibility to exercise prudent stewardship of Chapter resources and to preserve the long-term sustainability of future training events. After evaluating these considerations collectively, the Board determined that cancellation was the most responsible course of action for the organization at this time.

The Executive Board will continue with plans to conduct a Board meeting in El Paso as scheduled. An open business meeting will also be conducted virtually to provide all members with the opportunity to participate in accordance with Chapter governance requirements. Additional details will be communicated in the coming weeks.

We recognize the time and commitment many of you have already invested in this event, and I sincerely thank our members, non-members, presenters, sponsors, and vendors for their support and engagement. We are especially grateful to our El Paso hosts and regional partners for their efforts and professionalism in preparing for the conference, and we look forward to future opportunities to collaborate in the region.

Additional details regarding refunds and vendor coordination will be communicated directly by our conference team in the coming days.

While this outcome is disappointing, our commitment to delivering high-quality training, professional development, and networking opportunities remains strong. The Texas Chapter will continue moving forward with upcoming programs and initiatives, and we look forward to engaging with you at future events.

Thank you for your understanding and your continued support of the FBINAA Texas Chapter.

Respectfully,

Robert Martinez Jr.

President
