June 6th is Visually Impaired People Day, and it's an important reminder of how vision care works under Medicare.
Original Medicare focuses on medical eye care, such as diagnosing and treating conditions like glaucoma or cataracts. Routine eye exams, however, typically aren’t included. Many Medicare Advantage plans do offer coverage for annual exams and other routine vision needs, which can make a big difference in overall eye health.
