Medicare open enrollment starts Oct. 15 and runs through Dec. 7. Any changes you make take effect Jan. 1. 📅
Why shop this year? Several insurers are discontinuing Medicare Advantage plans, and there will be fewer stand-alone Part D drug plans to choose from. Even if your plan isn’t going away, its costs or doctor network may be changing.
Quick checklist:
✅ Read the Annual Notice of Change from your plan
✅ Call your doctors’ offices to confirm they take the plan you’re considering
✅ Compare total costs, not just premiums
✅ Run your medications through the Plan Finder on Medicare.gov
