Clear Spring Health is terminating existing policies effective May 31, 2026 in the State of Illinois.

Unfortunately, Clear Spring Health is discontinuing the sales of Medicare Advantage plans effective immediately, and terminating policies effective May 31, 2026.

Any members who recently enrolled into a Clear Spring Health plan with a policy effective date between June 1st and August 1st, their coverage will NOT go into effect.

Existing members have a Special Enrollment Period effective June 1st through July 31st to enroll in a new Medicare Advantage or Medicare Supplement plan.

If the member does not choose a new Medicare Advantage plan by July 31st, they will revert to Original Medicare and be enrolled in a Humana Basic RX Prescription Drug Plan with a $0 premium.

For PY2026, pregnancy now qualifies as a life event, creating a Special Enrollment Period for individual and family coverage both on and off the Exchange.
What this means: A person now has the opportunity to enroll in individual and family coverage within 60 days after a qualified health care professional (including a licensed certified professional midwife) certifies they are pregnant. This SEP grants eligibility to qualified individuals who receive the pregnancy certification, plus their dependents.
