Wyoming has enacted a new 25% property tax exemption of a single-family home’s value. This may meaningfully reduce many family’s annual property tax bill, and I wanted you to be aware of this opportunity.

Key Points:

· Automatically applies for the tax year 2025

· Beginning in 2026, homeowners must apply and attest that the home is owner-occupied for at least 8 months per year

· Application window: October 1, 2025 – February 1, 2026

· Exemption applies only to the first $1 million of value

· Cannot be combined with the Long-Term Homeowners Exemption in the same year · Apply at the states application page here: https://ptd.wyo.gov/OWNEROCC
