Bridging the Gap with our Rochester community! 💙

Saturday was all about connection, compassion, and community as members of the Rochester law enforcement and faith leaders hosted the Save Our Children/Bridging the Gap Festival. This year's event focused on kids, offering more opportunities for families to spend time together.

The day was filled with live music, carnival rides, games, food, kids' activities and community resources, all in the spirit of building trust and understanding. Our Summit team played Plinko and gave away prizes with our community friends!

The event is an effort to unite the Rochester community to protect children and create a safer and stronger tomorrow.

Progress is on its way for our NEW Greece branch!

This isn't just a new building; we’re building a better foundation for you.
It's another way we're investing in the communities we serve.

Our new Greece branch will create a welcoming space where members can receive personalized financial services. Plus, it isn't far away at a different location: it's the same address, same parking lot, just next door to our current Greece branch.

Giving kids the best start for the 2026-2027 school year! 🎒

A huge thank you to all those who made a donation to our annual school supply drive! This year's drive was a success, and it's all thanks to your generosity! We collected hundreds of items that were donated to organizations in your communities.

A Greece community favorite made a welcome return! 💙

After a few years' hiatus, the Town of Greece and the Greece Regional Chamber of Commerce revived "Taste of the Town" - an afternoon of local food, live music, and family fun.

The event celebrated everything that makes Greece great, and we were there for all the fun!
It was wonderful to see so many friends, neighbors, and fellow members of the Greece Chamber for an eventful day - even with the downpour!

End of summer celebration! 🎉

Taproot Collective celebrated the end of their summer program last week. Through the Rochester Works program, 43 kids between the ages of 15 and 18 worked on 12 urban gardens throughout the city this summer, building raised beds and pathways, planting, weeding, and harvesting crops.

For most, this was their first job, so at the start of the summer, we met with the kids and their parents to help them set up bank accounts, and we hosted a financial literacy session to answer their questions about budgeting and saving. We were eager to be there to celebrate the conclusion of this program.

Mobilizing forces to Pound the Ground for veterans! 🏃

The Summit supported this year's Veterans Outreach Center, Inc.'s Annual "Pound the Ground" 5K held at Mendon Ponds Park.

The event invites active-duty military, reservists, and veterans to lace up their combat boots or running shoes for the ‘Golden Boot.’ Individuals and community organizations got involved, too, and in addition to being a sponsor, The Summit put together a team for this event to support one of our Member Groups!

The Veteran Outreach Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for veterans and their families. Each year, the center provides critical support to brave service members and their families, assisting 200 veterans in returning to meaningful civilian employment and housing over 130 homeless veterans.

A day of sun, golf, and great conversations! 😎

The annual Cicero-Plank Road Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament, held at Pompey Club Golf Course in Cicero, NY, brings together local golfers, businesses, and sponsors for a day of competition, camaraderie, and charity. We were thrilled to be there to support an organization of which we are a member.

We loved having the opportunity to table, hand out some golf swag, and start up some wonderful conversations with area business owners and members!

Let’s play ball! ⚾

It was a great week of baseball as we cheered on the Rochester Red Wings during their series against the Charlotte Knights.

On Wednesday, members of The Summit team joined fellow credit unions for the Rochester Chapter Credit Union Night, rain and all! Then on Friday, we were back at the ballpark tabling and handing out swag near the main entrance. Our very own John W., Vice President of Accounting and Finance, also had the honor of throwing out the first pitch.

We were excited to see the Red Wings win both games and enjoyed Friday night’s fireworks to wrap up the week.

If you haven’t made it to a game yet this season, there are still plenty of home games left. Be sure to grab a souvenir cup while you’re there (P.S. our logo is on it)!

It was a great weekend to celebrate the legend that is Brockway Trucks!

We're still raving about last weekend's 26th Annual Brockway Truck Preservation Association show and parade that thousands of people from all over came out for. We were the sponsor of a fabulous fireworks display on Friday and were on hand at the CNY Living History Center to talk to visitors on Saturday.

This is one of our favorite CNY events, and we can't wait for next year!
