Last week was a big milestone for our Year 3 Choose to Engage team! 🎉

Choose to Engage is our self-guided professional development program that gives employees the opportunity to take ownership of their growth, explore new ideas and put their skills into action.

Congratulations to Jeff Luerman, Sirena Thompson and Jenn Kall on presenting their capstone project to the First Alliance executive team!

Over the past year, they’ve researched, collaborated, asked questions, refined their ideas and challenged themselves to think about what’s possible for our members.

We’re proud of these three and all the passion, persistence and presence they’ve brought to the project!

A quick update for our Stewartville branch: The branch will be closed Saturday, September 5 while our parking lot is sealcoated.

The kiosks will remain available for walk-up service only, but vehicle access and parking will not be available during the project and curing period.

The parking lot is expected to reopen after the 48-hour curing period, weather permitting.

Thank you for your patience while we give the lot a little refresh!

Meaningful conversations can spark meaningful change. Join host Brent Rempe on September 11 for the next Meaningful Mornings conversation featuring local guest Isaiah Syverson, owner of Syverson Pressure Washing LLC.

Here’s a closer look at Isaiah’s journey and the business he’s built: Isaiah Syverson is a young entrepreneur and the founder of Syverson Pressure Washing LLC, an exterior cleaning company serving Rochester and the surrounding area. A Mayo High School graduate, Isaiah started the business with a simple goal: to build something of his own that he could take pride in. His company provides pressure and soft washing for homes and businesses — everything from house washes and concrete to gutters, windows, and holiday lighting.

Isaiah’s approach is grounded in honesty, hard work, and relationships — helping people protect their investments while treating every property like his own. Beyond running his company, he’s already mentoring and training others, and he brings additional sales and leadership experience from his previous role at Priority Construction Services. He’s a great example of the entrepreneurial spirit growing right here in our community.

What can we learn from the people building something? Join Brent and Isaiah on September 11 for a morning of connection, inspiration, and honest conversation about entrepreneurship.

Being a cosigner means more than helping someone qualify, it means taking financial responsibility if the primary borrower can’t make the payment. Before you say yes, it’s important to understand the commitment.

Would you feel comfortable taking on that responsibility?
