Members of the Ukrainian American community of Parma, OH, including our very own Branch Manager, Maryana Rybay, answered the call to participate in India's 80th Independence Day and America's 250th birthday celebration. Dr. Taras Mahlay, President & Board Medical Advisor for Cleveland Maidan Association, among many other roles, spoke on behalf of the Ukrainian American delegation and congratulated the local Indian community on this significant milestone.

UFCU was proud to support three special community events: the Ukrainian Independence Day Celebration hosted by St. Luke's Ukrainian Orthodox Church, the Ukrainian Flag Raising Ceremony at Syracuse City Hall, and the Ukrainian Festival organized by St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church.

We were proud to support various community events near UFCU branches commemorating the 35th anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence. From official proclamations and flag-raising ceremonies to marches, concerts, charity runs, exhibitions, and prayers, these events brought people together to honor Ukraine’s history, culture, and enduring spirit.

It was an honor to join our communities in recognizing this meaningful occasion and celebrating the strength, resilience, and rich heritage of the Ukrainian people.

Thank you to everyone who organized, attended, and contributed to these special celebrations. Together, we honored a day that holds deep significance for so many and reaffirmed the values of freedom, unity, and community.
