❤️🖤 **Please help me welcome Ellie Winter to the Coldwell Banker Rochester family!** 🏡

If you've met Ellie, you know she is truly one of a kind. And if you haven't met her yet, trust me, you won't forget her!

First, let's talk about the RED. ❤️ Red hair, red car, red computer, red clothes... if it comes in red, there's a pretty good chance Ellie owns it! But her colorful personality goes WAY beyond her wardrobe.

Ellie spent over a decade living in Japan, and that experience is just one chapter of what makes her so fascinating. She's fiercely independent, incredibly intelligent, and unapologetically herself. From her Japanese sunrise tattoo to her signature style, Ellie isn't interested in fitting into anyone else's mold. And I absolutely LOVE that about her!

What impresses me even more is what's beneath all that red.

Ellie is a phenomenal communicator. She's articulate, thoughtful, quick on her feet, and genuinely kind. She has an incredible ability to connect with people, and she brings a level of curiosity and determination to everything she does.

And hardworking? That would be an understatement!

When Ellie gets immersed in real estate, she is ALL IN. Hours disappear while she's learning, researching, and figuring out how to be even better at what she does. (Her partner, Austin, might occasionally wish real estate came with an OFF switch! 😂)

But that's Ellie. When she commits to something, she gives it everything she's got.

One of my favorite things about leading this office is getting to work alongside people who bring their own personalities, perspectives, and strengths to the table. Ellie is a perfect example of that.

🌟 AGENT SPOTLIGHT: SHAWN BURYSKA 🌟

Some Agent Spotlights are a little more personal for me — and this is definitely one of them.

This week I get to celebrate Shawn Buryska, who has been helping people buy and sell real estate in the Rochester area since 1986. Forty years in this business. Thousands of transactions. Generations of repeat clients. And at one point in his career, Shawn was managing an incredible 87 listings at one time.

Those numbers are impressive, but they aren't what impresses me most about Shawn.

It's how he has built that career.

Shawn's knowledge of real estate is second to none, but so is the way he cares about the people he serves. He will never push someone into a house that isn't right for them just to make a sale. He'll tell you the truth, give you the benefit of four decades of experience, and help you make the decision that's right for you — even when that decision means he doesn't get the sale.

That kind of integrity is why people come back to Shawn years later and trust him with their next home, their parents' home, and their children's homes. ❤️

And you really can't talk about Shawn without talking about Shelly.

Shelly is the behind-the-scenes force who makes sure everything gets done and Shawn is where he needs to be. They are truly a team — in business, in their family and in the way they give back to this community.

Shawn has served in leadership roles throughout our real estate industry, including as President of the Southeast Minnesota Association of REALTORS, and has been involved with the United Way of Olmsted County for decades. I will always remember our annual United Way campaigns when Shawn would challenge the office by matching every dollar our agents donated. He continues to give back through events like Trees for Toys, because generosity isn't something Shawn talks about. It's simply part of who he is.

And when he's not taking care of clients or giving back, you'll probably find Shawn spending time with his family, Shelly and Pepper — or somewhere on the river aboard the appropriately named Open House. 🚤🐾

On a personal note, I have worked with Shawn and Shelly for more than 30 years, and I don't know that I could ever adequately thank them for what they have meant to me. They have taught me so much about this industry and supported me through every chapter — whether I was wearing my lender hat or now my office manager hat.

A lot of what I know about taking care of Realtors, clients and people, I learned by watching people like Shawn and Shelly.

Shawn, congratulations on 40 years of doing this business the right way. I am incredibly grateful for your friendship, your example, your loyalty and everything you and Shelly have done for me and for our Coldwell Banker Rochester family.

We are better because you're here. 💙

🌟 AGENT SPOTLIGHT: PIUS KIMEU 🌟

This week we’re shining the spotlight on someone who has been part of our Coldwell Banker family for almost 15 years — Pius Kimeu! 💙

Pius joined Coldwell Banker in November 2011, and if you know Pius, you know that relationships and people are at the heart of who he is.

First and foremost, Pius is a family man. He and his wife are raising two sons, and from everything I know about Pius, he is the kind of husband and dad who brings strength, humor and positivity to his family—even when life gets hard. He and his wife even run half-marathons together, which I think says something about both their partnership AND their determination! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Pius is also a first-generation American and incredibly proud of his heritage. He speaks English, Swahili and Kamba, and I love the perspective he brings to our office. He has a genuine ability to connect with people from all different backgrounds, and that is such an asset to his clients and our community.

That same caring for people has been at the center of the real estate business Pius has built over the past 15 years. He has helped buyers and sellers throughout Rochester and Southeast Minnesota through some of the biggest decisions of their lives.

But numbers really aren’t what tell Pius’s story.

It’s the people.

Pius is kind, positive and thoughtful. He cares deeply about his family, his community, his heritage and the relationships he has built along the way.
