We are saddened to announce that Michigan Pinball Expo founder John "KOZ" Kosmal passed away suddenly last week in his sleep, leaving behind a loving wife and his three young children.
Pinball was one of his utmost passions in life, playing in tournaments around the world since he was a teenager and had become known as a world class player ranked in the top elite ranks for some time. He was an ambassador for the industry, always looking to promote the fun and sport in the hobby, in a world where pinball had become known as something of generations past. One of the highlights of our show was the free children's tournament we ran each year, drawing in hundreds of kids to play and expose them to the fun of pinball.
We hope you enjoyed visiting our show, and had a chance to meet John during your visit. He had made the decision to put the show on hiatus for some time in order to focus his time on his family and growing his landscaping business. Please leave a memory and/or pics in the comments below of your time at the show.
If you would like to donate, we have set up a GoFundMe account to help raise funds for his three children to ensure they can attend college in their later years.
Thank you.
