With all this very wet weather, we want to remind you to make sure your downspouts are attached so that they can do their job by getting the water out and away from your home. Additionally, during heavy rain, don’t forget to check your sump basket and inspect the rest of your basement periodically for water. In our experience, catching a sump water/sewer backup or other basement water situations early significantly reduces damage and headaches.

Parents have all kinds of choices when it comes to their teen’s first car. Do you give them your current car so you have an excuse to buy something new for yourself? Do you buy them something affordable that could last them through college? Do you have them save up to buy their own car even

If you think Carrie was surprised after the movie tonight to look over and see me driving with this thing on, that's nothing compared to the guy and his girlfriend that I drove next to long enough to notice on 37th street. Oh, and the two women sitting in the Lexus at Chipotle didn't know what to think when I pulled up next to them, got out totally straight faced talking to Carrie, took off my helmet, locked the car and carried my helmet inside. I'm telling you... Nothing like a good laugh! Plus... You can never be too safe :-)

So I passed this gal on hwy 52 because her rear bumper was half missing and her passenger mirror was dangling as though it might fall off at any second. After passing her to find that her front bumper was half missing and the rest was bungeed on, I had to slow down for another look. I had to see what one of the worst drivers in Rochester looked like. But then it happened. I was convicted of wrongfully judging her and jumping to inaccurate conclusions. If you see her, don't judge her... She is not a bad driver. On the contrary. She is amazing. I was totally impressed and admittedly a little jealous of her driving skills. In nearly a mile, she never even had to look at the road. I challenge you to have your car look better than hers while texting for a mile straight. That bumper, the mirror, the scratches... That's not damage... That's just the cost Jedi training. Stick with me here... I watched star wars just the other night... Trust me, Luke Skywalker got zapped a lot by that gizmo that was training him to use the force during light saber training. The force was definitely with this gal. There is simply no other explanation for driving a mile bouncing from white line to white line but yet not hitting a thing. I bet it's not going to take more than 10 or so more accidents and this gal will achieve Jedi status. If she hits you, just think about all that you are helping her achieve. As for me, I'm just glad the laws are against texting and driving. It would suck if they put laws in place where you couldn't take pictures anymore.
