For Women’s Small Business Month, we’re proud to highlight Anita’s Puppy Palace, a woman-owned pet care business serving Orleans, Monroe and Genesee counties since 1994.

Anita Platt started the business with one mobile grooming van. As demand grew, she opened a brick-and-mortar boarding facility that expanded from 10 dog boarding spaces to 20, added a specialized cattery and in-house grooming and built a team of seven. Today, the business provides mobile and in-house grooming, a Pet Resort and on-site boarding.
