“A grateful heart is a vessel that holds blessings.”
That spirit shaped our Early Thanksgiving Dinner this past Saturday, as we gathered with our dear guests to share food, conversations, and reflections on friendship, peace, and the many things we’re thankful for. The evening felt like a room full of warm hearts, each one carrying its own blessings and generously sharing them with others.

We’re truly grateful to everyone who joined us and helped create such a meaningful and memorable night. Moments like these remind us how much strength and joy a community can bring when we come together with gratitude.

Peace Island Rochester had the pleasure of attending “Henrietta: A Town for All,” a wonderful community gathering organized by the Town of Henrietta Diversity Committee.

At the event, we shared a taste of our culture with Turkish delight and Turkish tea, and enjoyed meeting so many people who value connection and understanding. We were also delighted to see the Gandhi Center participating in this meaningful event, further highlighting the spirit of unity and collaboration among our diverse community members.

The event reminded us that our differences make us stronger, they are not something to fear, but a chance to enrich and strengthen our communities.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Henrietta Diversity Committee, the Gandhi Center, and everyone who contributed to this inspiring celebration of One Community, One Peace.

Peace Islands Rochester expresses its heartfelt condolences on the passing of Pope Francis.

Pope Francis was a beacon of compassion, humility, and justice. His tireless efforts to promote interfaith dialogue, social justice, and peace resonated across religious and cultural boundaries. He was admired by people of all faiths and backgrounds as a true bridge-builder and a voice for the marginalized. We honor his legacy and pray that his example continues to inspire unity, understanding, and peace in our world.
