Most people in our industry close deals and move on. They never talk to that person again.
I operate differently. Ninety percent of the time after I close a deal, I talk to clients within 6-12 months and maintain contact beyond that. This relationship approach generates follow-up business.

I've done multiple transactions where borrowers call a year later saying "I want to do another location" or "I'm thinking about buying this property now."

Ray makes this partnership work perfectly. He gets very involved upfront - gathering information, getting things rolling, making introductions. Then he sits back and lets me do my thing.

When deals go sideways and I can't reach sellers or borrowers stop responding to requests, I call Ray to "shake the tree." Usually within 24 hours, I get responses.

Commercial real estate market update from the lending trenches:

Seeing significantly more investment real estate activity than we had before. Multifamily properties and retail plazas are attracting investors who want to park their money in stable assets.

The market went scary soft during COVID. We all thought it would just plateau or slowly trickle off, but instead we're witnessing a real uptick in commercial real estate acquisitions.

This suggests the market may be back and could represent a good opportunity to diversify into commercial real estate before prices climb higher.
