One of the biggest questions I run into with first time home buyers… “How do I know when I’m ready?”

Honestly, that’s usually only something they can answer for themselves. However, when that answer is no, it usually comes down to budget and credit. I am a strong advocate for having a budget and tracking spending. Though we all fall off the wagon occasionally, it is key to living within your means.

If you are looking to get started on a budget, even just to help yourself get back on track, I recommend using copilot. You need to give yourself a couple hours over the course of a couple days to really get everything set up, but it really helps you see where your money is going, track subscriptions you may not remember you have, and help you get back on track! The City of Canandaigua Department of Public Works is pleased to inform residents and businesses that the Boil Water Notice has been officially lifted as of 11/7/2025 at 10:24 a.m.

Laboratory testing has confirmed that the water supply is SAFE FOR CONSUMPTION AND ALL OTHER USES. Residents may now resume normal water use, including drinking, cooking, and food preparation.
