Yesterday, I had the honor of attending a Celebration of Life for my client Becki who passed away on May 17th. Her family kindly invited me, which meant more than I can fully express.

Before her passing, I had never met her family. In the weeks that followed, they reached out to me for guidance, navigating her insurance matters and assisting her 81 year old sister with Social Security, Medi-Cal, and CalFresh.

Moments like this remind me why I do what I do.

Helping individuals and families through both everyday needs and life’s most difficult transitions is truly meaningful work, and I’m grateful to be in a position to support my community in this way.
