A reminder that when settling pro per cases based on the treating physician's report to obtain a QME Waiver. Although, it is not required per the Labor Code, most judges want one prior to approving settlement.

I am always shocked to see how many Insurance Companies and TPAs are open on certain federal holidays. I know most employees prefer to have the extra PTO days to use at their discretion. However, selfishly I would like to be able to take the occasional day off for President's Day, Columbus Day, Arbor Day, or whatever without being worried about falling behind. Ultimately, I just appreciate that I am getting so may referrals regardless of how much I have to work. Thank you all for trusting me to rate your reports and get your settlements approved.

This Friday will mark the completion of my first 35 years in the industry. Yes, I started this journey on January 2, 1990. Looking forward to the next 35 and what it brings.

I want to once again indicate how grateful I am for my clients. I hear so many attorneys and "competitors" complain about their adjusters not responding, being unreasonable with demands, and rarely showing appreciation. Most of the people I work with are very responsive when I need additional information or documents, and I frequently get the emails merely saying, "thank you". I really have it good. Thank you for trusting me with your files, ratings and settlements.

I think I’m going to call it a day, but will still likely be getting some work done the next four days. I’d like to start Monday with a clean desk and semi clean shelves.
