I've been in the Motorsports Insurance business for 40 years and have never had a more UNPLEASANT experience with a franchise dealership:
Bergen County Harley Davidson is selling a motorcycle to a mutual client.
Our client gave me a fax # to send I.D. cards to the dealership for his new motorcycle which he is picking up first thing tomorrow morning. The fax failed so I looked at their Web Site to confirm. No fax number listed.
It seemed like the proper thing to do so I called the dealership and identified myself and our mutual client:
"Sales dept." the person answering the phone did not identify them self, totally unprofessional.
"I'm trying to fax over I.D. cards for a mutual client and it is not going through. I'd like to confirm your fax number."
"I don't know it."
"Can you get it for me? So I can get you the cards and our client can pick up his bike?"
"I don't know who would have it." I was transferred and got voicemail.
I called back four times. Same scenario.
Not one person identified them self when they answered the phone.
I actually begged and pleaded with the last sales associate who finally said. "I'm busy, gotta go."
Bergen County Harley Davidson just didn't care.
Buyer beware!
