We have had a lot of questions about flooding potential within the county the last few days. We are appreciative of the effort that residents are wanting to make to be prepared. FYI Flood coverage. NO homeowners policies cover flood waters or ground water. You can purchase a flood policy so google flood insurance in your state. But ground water that seeps in to foundation is excluded on all of them. Sump pump not keeping up or malfunction can be covered by home policy if you have endorsement for that. BE PREPARED move things out of your basement to higher ground. Sand bag around your furnace & in areas where you know water will enter first. Walk foundation of home daily in socks. CLEAN DRIANS. Watch for puddles outside & redirect if possible. Call me if you have a question 8016270590.
